For distributors running Fishbowl

Your customers still phone in their orders.

Your catalogue already lives in Fishbowl. We put it online so your customers order themselves — then every delivery comes back signed and closes its own order off, so the invoice follows on its own. Nothing gets re-typed, and nothing gets re-opened.

Everything you sell is already in there.

Six thousand lines, priced, stocked and counted. The only place your customers can't see it is online.

See how it gets out

Five things move on their own.

Everything already exists in Fishbowl. The work is getting it out to the people who need it — and getting the result back in without anyone typing.

Fishbowl Website

Your catalogue, online

Products, pricing and stock published to your own site and kept in step. No spreadsheet, no re-upload.

Customers Order desk

They order themselves

Trade customers order from your live catalogue, priced correctly. Orders land in one list your team imports — nothing typed twice, nothing off a notepad.

Orders Invoice

Invoices send themselves

When an order is fulfilled the invoice is raised and emailed. You approve the template once.

Delivered Fishbowl

The signature closes the order

Drivers get the day's run, scan, capture a signature and photo — and that closes the order off in Fishbowl. Works with no signal.

Van full Courier

Send a courier when the van can’t

An overflow day, a job-site drop nowhere near the route, a van already out. Price the stop and send a courier from the same run sheet — and it closes the order off exactly like your own driver would. Off unless you turn it on.

Before any of that works

They can only order what they can find.

Your descriptions were written for the warehouse, not for a search box — abbreviated, inconsistent, whatever whoever set the part up happened to type. Your customer searches for what's on the drawing. When those two don't meet, they don't browse your catalogue. They phone. Which is the call you put the site up to stop.

Every one of those is live on the demo — click any row. Results come back ranked, so the line they meant is the first one they see, not the one with the lowest product number. Paste a barcode and it lands on the product.

After the counter closes

The counter shuts at five. The questions don't.

Someone on site at seven in the morning wants to know what a carton costs, or whether you list the part at all. That question gets answered, or it becomes tomorrow's phone call — or somebody else's order. The assistant answers it from your own catalogue and documents: prices, pack sizes, item numbers, spec and safety sheets, whatever you hand it.

And when it doesn't know, it says so. It cannot quote a price that isn't in your price list. It cannot promise stock it has no sight of. It will not draft you a returns policy to be helpful. It hands the customer to your counter instead — which is the only safe way to put one of these on a wholesaler's website.

Asked on the demohave you got 200 of the cut-off wheels in stock right now?
AnsweredThe cut-off wheel, 115x1.0mm is listed in the catalogue, but I do not have information on stock availability or quantity on hand. Please get in touch with Northmark Industrial's trade counter for assistance.

Trade customers can sign in. With the Trade Account add-on, a customer proves the email their orders are sent to and the assistant shows their own orders, shipments and invoices, reorders a past order, or sends the counter a quote request — as an estimate in Fishbowl for your desk to confirm, never an order placed behind your back. Every unanswered question becomes an enquiry in your operations portal, with the customer's contact details attached.

Word for word, from the assistant on the demo — it's the bubble in the corner of the shop. Ask it what a carton of flap discs costs and it will tell you. Ask it something you never gave it and it will send you to the trade counter, every time.

A delivery driver holding a phone at a customer's back door, cases stacked on a hand truck
Out on the route

The run sheet stops being paper.

Today's stops arrive on the driver's phone in the order they're driving them — only what is packed and loadable, never what was merely entered this morning. They scan what goes off the van, take a signature and a photo at the door, and it's on the order before they've pulled away.

  • Works with no signal — everything queues and syncs when it's back
  • Signature and photo attach to the delivery, not a separate app
  • "Did that get delivered?" is answered in the office, not by phoning the van
  • The delivery closes the order in Fishbowl, so invoicing follows on its own — nobody re-opens it to ship it
  • Switched off until you've watched one order go through and said yes
  • A stop the van can't take goes to a courier from the same screen, and closes the order the same way
  • You choose how long proof photos are kept

"We already have a website."

Then you have a brochure. If it doesn't know what's in the warehouse this morning, your customers still ring the order desk to check — and someone still types their order into Fishbowl by hand. The website isn't the hard part. The connection to your inventory is.

"Our catalogue is a mess."

Everyone's is. Duplicate margin lines, parts branches, items that must never face a customer. We publish what should be public and hold back the rest by rule — and the rules stay yours to change.

We already know how Fishbowl behaves.

Not from the manual — none of this is in it. From running a distributor's live order book against it every sixty seconds.
